Development of a Web-based data and product delivery system for the CSIRO AVHRR Time Series (CATS): Architecture, Interface an

چکیده
Long time series of daily remote sensing data (i.e. 20 years and increasing) are useful for studies of intraand interannual behaviour of surface components, such as vegetation cover and drought monitoring, and for the derivation of surface characteristics useful for climate modeling or land cover classifications. If a time series is well calibrated, data are especially valuable to detect and interpret long term environmental changes. These data can be used operationally as a decision support tool for policy makers. The Web-CATS (CSIRO AVHRR Time Series) project provides access to the Australian AVHRR (Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer) data archive via the World Wide Web. The data archive consists of multiple satellite overpasses from several receiving stations in Australia for almost every day since July 1981 and is still growing. The data are held online, so that products can be processed on-demand in a user-customised manner with state-of-the-art algorithms. The user is presented with a list of the possible processing operations which are implemented in CAPS (Common AVHRR Processing Software). Users can search and browse a meta-database of the archived satellite passes and specify processing parameters for their desired data product. The architecture of Web-CATS is highly modular; so that the program (with slight modification) can be used to provide a Web-based delivery system for other long-term high-frequency environmental remote sensing sensors, such as MODIS (Moderate Resolution Image Spectrometer), ASTER (Advanced Spaceborne Thermal Emission and Reflection Radiometer) or future missions. Insight to this modular code is given in the appendices of this report, whilst an actual full electronic version of the package can be downloaded from the project website. This report documents the existence of Web-CATS, which provides customised user access to the long time series of AVHRR data managed and corrected using best CSIRO’s best practice algorithms. It provides a high-level technical overview of the functionality, including the underlying databases used by Web-CATS. This report does not aim to fill the role of a user-guide nor a detailed programming guide.

Query Architecture Expansion in Web Using Fuzzy Multi Domain Ontology
Due to the increasing web, there are many challenges to establish a general framework for data mining and retrieving structured data from the Web. Creating an ontology is a step towards solving this problem. The ontology raises the main entity and the concept of any data in data mining. In this paper, we tried to propose a method for applying the "meaning" of the search system, But the problem ...
متن کاملA Model-Driven Decision Support System for Software Cost Estimation (Case Study: Projects in NASA60 Dataset)
Estimating the costs of software development is one of the most important activities in software project management. Inaccuracies in such estimates may cause irreparable loss. A low estimate of the cost of projects will result in failure on delivery on time and indicates the inefficiency of the software development team. On the other hand, high estimates of resources and costs for a project wil...

Introduction In order to improve the quality of life of amputees, biomechatronic researchers and biomedical engineers have been trying to use a combination of various techniques to provide suitable rehabilitation systems. Diverse biomedical signals, acquired from a specialized organ or cell system, e.g., the nervous system, are the driving force for the whole system. Electromyography(EMG), as a...
متن کاملProposing A Distributed Model For Intrusion Detection In Mobile Ad-Hoc Network Using Neural Fuzzy Interface
Security term in mobile ad hoc networks has several aspects because of the special specification of these networks. In this paper a distributed architecture was proposed in which each node performed intrusion detection based on its own and its neighbors’ data. Fuzzy-neural interface was used that is the composition of learning ability of neural network and fuzzy Ratiocination of fuzzy system as...
متن کاملGIS Assessment of site suitability for serial biological concentration (SBC) in Murrumbidgee in Australia
Researchers of CSIRO Land and Water in Griffith in Australia have found a way to repeatedly reuse drainage water to grow crops. In the process the system will concentrate the salt in the water to a manageable level which can then be used or stored in an environmentally friendly manner. The process, known as sequential biological concentration, is based on a novel system for Land, based treatmen...
